CIP | Occupational Health and Safety
As an employer, we undertake to provide a safe working environment and appropriate tools. We also acknowledge that safety takes precedence over program and cost. Every individual has the right to a safe and healthy working place and the right to return from work every day safe and without injury. We are committed to complying with all relevant legislation and ensuring zero harm to our employees. Our supervisors have been trained to ensure the highest practical level of safety. Prior to commencement of any work, a comprehensive safety file containing all information to alert those responsible for the service of the significant safety and health risks that will need to be addressed during maintenance, repair, or other construction work. CIP provides employees with safety equipment and protective clothing suited to the job at hand. Each employee signs a register on receipt of such clothing and equipment. All PPE are regularly inspected and certified ensuring compliance with all safety and operating standards and regulations. The supervisor monitors that these items are correctly utilised. Incidents or near misses are fully investigated and reports compiled. This allows both parties to keep a comprehensive record as well as to proactively plan for the future.
CIP | Environmental Conservation
CIP commits to meet all environmental rules and regulations and strives to protect our environment through sound management practices and decisions. We will strive to prevent pollution by minimising waste generation, conserving natural resources and conforming to all client environmental management plans. We also ascertain from our suppliers any harmful effects to the environment from the products we use. We utilise, as well as dispose of any excess products in a safe and responsible manner, thereby preventing any air, water, or soil pollution.
CIP | Public Liability Insurance
Specific liability insurance will be designed for each site. CIP will ensure the dependent liability insurance is in effect prior to commencement of work on the customer`s property.
CIP | Data Protection & Confidentiality
All documents, specifications and other information prepared for use on the contract shall become the property of the client. Any information acquired by CIP or its employees whether relating to the specific task or not, shall be regarded as confidential and shall not be disclosed to any third party without permission of the customer.
CIP | Damage and Losses
CIP investigates every incident fully. Should investigations show one or more of our employees are responsible for any damage or loss, those employees will face a disciplinary enquiry undertaken by CIP and in accordance with the appropriate labour laws.

Staff training is provided by in-house personal, coating manufacturers and the CIP’s various suppliers. This formal training is then supported by teaming up experienced employees with newer entrants. Regular talks/consultations are held with all staff. This helps them keep abreast of current legislation and company policies. Medical testing of our employees is carried out where such testing is an inherent requirement of the job. Our trained supervisors monitor the progress of all our employees on site and take full responsibility for our people’s safety and workmanship.
