Factor one
The appropriate blasting method considering the type of coating being applied, the surroundings and type of grit to use considering the anchor profile required and type of substrate.
Factor two
The standards of cleanliness required under the coating manufacturer’s specifications.
Factor three
The blast pressure required considering the blast nozzle size, length of blast hose, etc.
Factor four
The setup of all blast equipment. An incorrect initial setup will delay the project and could result in the specified cleanliness and anchor profile not being achieved.
